Weigh-In Wednesday: Being Motivated

Hey y’all. I know I have been off when from doing my blogging, especially my Weigh-In Wednesdays posts, but today’s post will not be about me weighing in, but I’m still keeping it relevant to weight loss and being healthy. So, today’s post will be dedicated to someone we all know and have come to love.
We all know her as a comedienne, ac tor and talk show host, and just recently she has lost a lot of weight and on the track to being healthy, and looking damn good,  might I add…who am I talking about?? No one other than……

When I tell you Mo’Nique is doing the dang on thing. I’m so happy for Mo’Nique. She credits her weight loss to working out 5days a week with her trainer and eating healthier.  Mo’Nique is truly my motivation for this week and going forward on my weight-loss and being healthy.

Weigh-In Wednesday: Update

Wednesday Weigh-In update
My goodness it sure has been awhile since I last blogged, but not without good reason. 
Last month (February) I was in a car accident. I was hit from the behind, my car was totaled and I had muscle strain to my back, so with that being said I was unable to work out for a few weeks.  But I am glad to say that I am ok now and can resume back to being healthy and while I was not exercising I gained a few pounds, smh *sigh* but I'm back on it.
I will start back to blogging more and getting back to doing my series of Weigh-In Wednesdays next week.

Weigh-In Wednesdays: My Starting Weight

The day has come where I share that infamous “number” with my readers… my weight.  I have never shared this number with anyone, it was never up for discussion but I have to be held accountable and I feel the only way I will be if I share my weight with you all.
With this new series on my blog, I will be coming on once every two weeks to give you an update on my current weight loss (hopefully) and any other information I may be doing in addition to me getting back to healthy.

Weigh-In Wednesdays


By now you may know I am on my quest to being healthier.  So, at least for the next 3months I am going to dedicate Wednesdays to my weigh-in day. This is the day I will come on and do a short post about my workout routine and list my current weight in pounds….yes, I said I will show y’all my current weight. I normally do not like to share this number with anyone, but I need to be held accountable and I feel that I should share so that I am being held accountable. At this point, I’m not sure if I will post every week or every two weeks, I will share all this info on next Wednesday. So please stop by and cheer me on, I will need the motivation and encouragement for sure J

New Year, New Goals 2013





Happy New Year! Welcome to 2013. It’s a New Year so that means new resolutions goals. Like everyone else I think thought about the things I would like to accomplish this year and hope to have them completed by the end of 2013.  Shouldn’t be too hard, huh? Check out my goals:

1.       Lose 10lbs per month…January thru June
2.       Attend a blogger conference
3.       Attend more social events
4.       Network, network, network
5.       Blog at least 3days per week
6.       Finally complete my course in Wedding/Event Planning and become certified
7.       Call family/friends more instead of texting to say hello
So, there you have it my goals so far for 2013.  I think all these things can be completed by the end of the year.  What are your goals/resolutions for the New Year?

My Thanksgiving 2012: Road trip home

Hello my fellow readers....First, let me apologize...NO PICS TODAY. But please continue reading. I have been so bad lately with the whole blogging; I am truly neglecting my baby and its a no-no. It was never my intention when I started my blog, but with working a full-time and a part-time job and just added working out back into my daily routine time get away from me and the little time I do have all I want to do is SLEEP!!! But I couldn't leave for vacation and not give you a little something here on the blog. It's been a while.

Me, my sister, brother-in-law and niece are taking a road trip back home this year to spend Thanksgiving in Michigan-and I am so excited. The weather is going to be great and hopefully I will be able to attend the Thanksgiving Day Parade this year without freezing, lol. I am looking forward to seeing my aunt who is currently battling Dementia and my 2nd Mom who was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is currently in remission-Thank you God! So, its a must I go home and love all over my family because they are near and dear to me.  Oh, and did I mention all the food I'm going to be around?? OMG!! Looking forward to some Turkey and Dressing with my favorite dessert of all time German Chocolate Cake.  So, with that being said, I want to list a few things I am thankful for.

I am thankful for:

God waking me up each and EVERYDAY!!!
Good Health and a sound mind
Loving family and friends
Not one,but two jobs
Shelter and food
and of course.....YOU reading this.  Thank you for coming by and showing my blog some love :)
